Our History
Founded in 2017 in Nairobi, FlyCraft Africa began as a small fly-tying workshop with just a few tiers and a vision—to put Kenyan craftsmanship on the map of global fly fishing. What started as a passion project has grown into one of Africa’s most trusted names in fly manufacturing—known for quality, integrity, and service.
2010
Foundation
FlyCraft Africa was established in 2010, born out of a passion for fly fishing and a vision to provide premium hand-tied flies from Kenya to the global market. Starting with just two tiers in a modest workspace, our goal was simple — to craft durable, effective, and beautiful flies that anglers could trust.
2012
30+ Employes
As demand for our products grew, so did our team. By 2015, we had expanded to a team of 10 skilled fly tiers, each trained to maintain the highest standards of consistency and craftsmanship.In 2018, we moved into a larger, dedicated office and production facility in Nairobi, equipped with better tools, more space, and improved logistics for serving international clients.

Today, FlyCraft Africa serves clients across North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. We continue to expand our product range, employ over 30 full-time artisans and support staff, and innovate with custom designs, private labeling, and retail-ready solutions.
